My Story

I was born in Ethiopia and grew up knowing what it meant to value education, not because it came easily, but because I saw how hard it was to access. I’ve seen children walk to school for miles with no supplies, share a single worn notebook among siblings, or go without textbooks their entire school year.

When I came to the U.S., I noticed the huge gap — not just in resources, but in how easily we take them for granted. A forgotten pencil here, an unused book there — things many kids in Ethiopia would deeply value. That contrast stuck with me.

I founded this organization because I believe students in Ethiopia deserve better. They deserve to sit in a classroom with the tools they need to learn and succeed — with dignity, pride, and confidence. This isn’t just about shipping supplies. It’s about bridging the opportunity. It’s about standing in the gap between potential and poverty. And it's about giving back to where I came from — because I know exactly what these supplies can do for a child’s future.
