We envision a future where every child in Ethiopia has the tools they need not just to attend school, but to succeed in it. A future where backpacks aren’t empty, classrooms aren’t bare, and students aren't left behind simply because they lack a pencil, a book, or a notebook. We believe education is not a luxury — it is a fundamental right. Our vision is to create an Ethiopia where educational resources are accessible, where children can dream bigger, and where the potential of the next generation is no longer held back by material scarcity.
Why We Exist
Across Ethiopia — especially in rural and under-resourced regions — students face significant barriers to learning that go beyond the classroom. Many arrive at school without basic materials like notebooks, pens, backpacks, or even textbooks. Some sit in classrooms without a single item to write on or read from. Others drop out altogether due to a lack of resources and support.
The global conversation around education often focuses on building schools, but what happens when those schools remain empty of tools? The problem isn’t always access to a school building — it’s what students don’t have once they’re inside. Without supplies, learning becomes frustrating, limited, and incomplete.
While education is promoted as a key to breaking the cycle of poverty, far too many children are denied this opportunity simply because they lack the essentials. We exist to change that.
